About Me

My experience with painting began early. As a teenager growing up in Madison, I worked summers painting apartments. While earning a degree from the University of Wisconsin, I started my own house painting business in the summers as a way to fund my tuition.

After graduation, I supplemented my income in Human Services jobs by painting homes in the Twin-Cities. Over the years, I have continued to use my painting skills doing many home and cabin renovations over the years. After a career in managing vocational programs for disabled adults, I made the decision to again make painting a profession.

In 2008, Blue Sky Painting LLC was incorporated. Painting has always been a source of personal satisfaction. Seeing tangible results and receiving favorable comments from homeowners has provided me with a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. I have chosen to work alone and not to hire other painters. With this business model, I retain complete control and accountability for the quality of work. I find each project presents different challenges and I enjoy meeting new customers.

When not painting, I enjoy woodworking and making various types of furniture. With this skill and a fully-equipped workshop, I have been able to offer additional services to my customers.
